Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha
Satyadhyana Vidyapeetha is unique in many ways,
run on the lines of age old Gurukukula System
without any financial aid whatsoever either from the
Government or from any other organization. Even the
education imparted here, including lodging and
boarding is entirely free. The students are also
provided with clothes , books, medical aid, travel
fare for annual visit to home town etc.

of Vidyapeetha

In order to follow the time-honored tradition and
instill in the students the values of Spartan living
as also treasure the networking with the community
the students go to the houses of devotees and
collect rice, daal etc. for daily consumption
(Called MUSHTI-FUND) - truly the Gurukula Way.
The
students are taught and trained in both ancient and
modern Philosophies and Western thought. They are
recipients of various branches of knowledge.
Veda, Vedanta, Buddhism,
Christianity, Jainism, Islam and Western Philosophy,
Nyaya, Vyakarana, Meemansa, Dharmashastra, Jyotishya,
Sahitya, Paurohitya and Daasa-Sahitya,
along with English, Hindi,
Marathi, Kannada, Ethics, Psychology, History,
Mathematics, Science etc.
Pillars of vidyapeetha
Many Students/Pandits and a number of devotees have
supported and contributed to the establishment and
growth of these institutions. Among the Students/Pandits
Sri, M R Aswathamacharya and Sri P V Krishancharya
have been the main pillars of this Vidyapeetha who
are still rendering selfless service by conducting
Patha Pravachanas, Jnana Yagnas and Lectures.
Going Hi Tech
In the search for ancient values, modernity has not
been lost. The entire infrastructure is modernized
and computerized to propagate sanskrit language and
learning. Going Hi tech has enabled world-wide
dissemination of knowledge through the internet as
well as the publication of authentic rare Sanskrit
texts, translation, commentaries and research works.
Conscious of the need for a value-based education,
which is also ubiquitous and functions, the students
get practical hands-on experience in planning major
events, management of personnel, financial
accounting and purchasing.
The convocation
The convocation or 'Sudhamangala' is a unique event
of this Gurukula after which the young scholars are
provided a placement in terms of a parish and some
initial financial support. The Vidyapeetha also
extends educational aid to some of the most needy
and deserving students.
Library
A central library, vast and comprehensive, having
120000 books was established diligently and
painstakingly over seven decades, by Pujya
Gopalacharya, the Founder. The students and research
Scholars, this is a veritable goldmine to take up in
depth and thorough study of Philosophy and Literate
as it contains ancient invaluable palm leaves and
manuscripts as well as modern titles. It contains
several thousands of good and valuable volumes on
English Literature, Metaphysics, Logic, Ethics,
Sociology, Psychology, Geography, Zoology, Botany,
Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Astrology,
Homeopathy, Allopathic, Naturopathy, Ayurveda etc.
It also contains books on Philosophy, Upnishand,
Geeta, Veda, Purana, Bhagavata, Mahabharata,
Ramayana, as well as Zoroastrian, Buddhist, Jainic,
Shaivic, Veershaivic, Islamic, Biblical, Grecian,
Roman, Egyptian, German, French, English and
American Schools of thought.
Other Activities
Ladies wing of the Vidyapeetha apart from deep
involvement with daily programmes has spread out to
include Bhajan singing imparting knowledge of
spiritual values and encouraging micro enterprises
and retailing for the relief of the destitute women.
Daily lectures, weekly classes, monthly programmes
and special series of Lectures, Workshops, Seminars,
are also conducted in different languages such as
English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada for the benefit of
the interested public.
